There’s a saying here in Chicago, and believe me, it’s true. "If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes." Yesterday it was so sunny and warm, that I didn’t bother with a coat when I was running errands. This morning it was a little cooler, in the 40s, and poring down rain. As I talked [...] Today I spotted a license plate that said, in part: CUBS WIN It seemed fitting that this license was from the same state as Dorothy, Toto, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Man. A wonderful, nice thing, but, sigh, still a fantasy. If only! Well, phooey! I’ve been wanting radio for my iPod for sometime…but when they finally add it…I don’t have the right version! Gripe, gripe, gripe! For more information about this product, click here. And, one more thing, Apple’s actions have once again proven my belief: never buy Apple products for Christmas. They frequently have major product announcements [...] Bleh. Spent much of last night in the bathroom. Most of this morning and afternoon in bed. Plus lots of this evening curled under a blanket watching TV. Bleh. But I did manage to play with this map some. I’ve seen it or similar maps on other blogs and decided to give it a try. [...] I was back downtown Chicago over the weekend and this time, unlike last time, remembered to take a camera. Here are a few snaps of the Marshall Field’s Christmas windows. One of my criteria when evaluating a movie is whether it makes me want to read the book or source material from which it was adapted. Sometimes this happens because the story was interesting and I want to read the novel for more details and all the nuances. For example, the movie Enigma, which I [...] Well bother. I guess I’ll have to have nice thoughts about Aggies for a day…or at least not tell Aggie jokes. ;-) Don’t mess with Texas!
