Queen Elizabeth II, the real one, not the Helen Mirren dead-ringer, will soon be available in a podcast near you! Yes, really! For decades, the British monarch has addressed his or her subjects in an annual Christmas address. First these addresses were via the wireless (what we on this side of the pond refer to as [...] Kazza granted permission for me to steal the picture below. She posted this on December 20 and it just made me smile. Update: Kazza appears to be newly engaged!!!! Congrats, Kiddo!!! Love the pics! (This one and the engagement one, which I won’t steal!) Sob! Foxtrot, the fabulous comicstrip, is ending daily publication and going to Sunday’s only! How can they do this to us! First Calvin and Hobbes ceased publication, but Foxtrot was there to sustain us. Until Dec. 30, 2006 that is. Now, sob, Foxtrot leaves us bereft on workdays! Sundays only! Help, help, help.

He’s joined by Mr. Monopoly, Richie Rich, Prince Abakaliki of Nigeria, Thurston Howell III, Lucius Malfoy, Lara Croft, and others. One question: Why am I not on this list? Trust me, my vast fortune is [...] flat tires, icy roads, snowy roads The snow plow finally showed up to clear our street at 1:00 this morning…over 15 hours after the storm ended. We’re a residential cul de sac and with schools closed we’re very low on the priority list. But still, this is ridiculous! At 6:30 this morning I noticed that I had a huge mound of [...] Today is my uncle’s birthday. Happy Birthday Uncle T.! I tried to send Unc an e-card, but spam issues got in the way. First, to prevent unwanted emails, I signed into the e-card service using a back-up, non-primary email address. I selected a card I liked, decorated it with a pleasing message, and sent it on [...] …we have plenty! This was one of the most difficult snows to clear off the driveway…there was lots of it and it was wet and heavy. In some places, like below, it was taller than my snow thrower!
