PBS has announced they are delaying their Jane Austen "festival" till January of 2008 so they can show adaptations of all Austen’s major works. They’ll be showing the following TV movies and mini-series: TV movies from ITV in the U.K. (all dated 2007): Persuasion Sense and Sensibility*: a BBC/WGBH (Boston’s PBS station) production currently in development As I’ve been reporting, Foyle’s War 4 (a.k.a., seasons 4 & 5 in the U.K.) will begin airing on PBS in the U.S. this June. I was going to post pictures of a friend’s new dog, but I took the pictures with my cell phone’s camera and the only way to get those pictures off the phone is to bluetooth them to my desktop computer, but my desktop computer is not usable right now because I’m running a wipe program [...] As reported earlier, here and here, PBS will be showing Foyle’s War 4 starting in June and the DVD will be available on July 17. Here now is the cover art for the DVD set.
Over the weekend I had the opportunity to see Spider-Man…not the one in the theaters, the first of the Spider-Man movies. I’m not a comic book reader, so I wasn’t in a rush to see this movie series. But so many people said the first two Spider-Man movies were A) Surprisingly good or B) Webtastic, [...] Ain’t nothin’ like wantin’ to go to bed and one’s dog is outside, wide awake, barking, and chasing animals that left the yard right before he got there. Sigh. Happy Mother’s Day! This is unbelievable cute! Otterly adorable!!! (Be sure to turn the volume up a tad so you can hear. And watch the whole thing, it isn’t long, but the payoff is special!)
