I had no idea that today in 1930 Laura Ingalls Wilder became the first woman to fly across the United States! How wild is that? It was a nine-stop journey from Roosevelt Field in New York to Glendale, CA.*
From Little House on the Prairie to Big Scribe in the Sky! That’s just too cool!
*According to a blurb in the Chicago Tribune.

Are they sure they didn’t confuse her with the other Laura Ingalls..?

They probably did! (Or maybe I misread it.) This does make more sense, but my version is more interesting.
Their bad.. http://www.chicagotribune.com/services/newspaper/printedition/wednesday/chi-1010clarisoct10,0,6238803.story
Well, that explains my confusion. The original blurb simply said “Laura Ingalls,” but the image was of Ingalls Wilder. I usually read the Corrections in the paper, but missed them yesterday.
