I totally disagree that Mary is prettier than Sybil. Sybil is gorgeous, the prettiest of the three.

And maybe people have forgotten just what a Badass Scarlet was. She saved her family from ruin.

Finally, Sybil is the caregiver….maybe not to the servants, but to all the soldiers she nurses.

Thanks for commenting. The more S2 has progressed, the more similarities I think there are!

Pauletta, in S1 O’Brien conspires to get Daisy to tell Lady Edith about seeing Lady Mary carrying Pamuk’s body back to his bed chamber. Daisy only saw Lady Mary, and was not happy about repeating what she saw. Edith’s information is based on what Daisy saw.

“Mom” (not mine, but someone’s I guess ) I don’t think Matthew is very similar to Ashley, except perhaps in the episodes you mention. And on the surface Sir Richard and Rhett are similar (self-made business men), but I think that’s where that similarity ends.

Last night’s episode 6 (I think) we now have Lavinia/Melanie dead, Matthew turned into Ashley Wilkes and Carlisle not a little in common with Rhett Butler.

Wow. I had been thinking about these similarities myself for quite some time and finally decided to see if others had the same insight. Glad to see you’ve done the writing for me! and Very well done indeed.
Now, let’s see if Ethel can get William’s war pension for herself and her baby since Daisy doesn’t seem to want it. Maybe she’ll let Ethel step in in her stead….sweet. And, btw, isn’t Daisy the only one who could have ratted out Mary and the dead Turk to the others?

I still recall the small article that appeared in The Middletown Journal about Jobs and Woz having built some sort of personal computer… maybe in a garage? It was a long time ago.

I’ve never owned a Mac, but I’ve taken a couple of Apple computers apart to do upgrades — they are always so tidy and well laid out inside.

I love this! Suellen and Edith do look a little a like! They all do! You have mentioned the Scarlett/Mary similarities a bit before, but I never realized how far the similarities extend through all sisters. I wonder if anyone else noticed? I mean, anyone in the production or in the media.

I’m glad you included differences, because I don’t think Mary could ever be as mean-spirited as Scarlett, but she hasn’t been pushed to the extreme like Scarlett either. I think Mary learns from her mistakes, but Scarlett is slower to see and learn.

Maybe the waistline on Mary’s is a little lower than it should be but I think that’s it. The skirt area isn’t petticoatedand goes almost straight down.
